Ramsgate-specific notes

Salt-air hinges. Zinc-plated hinges on any gate within a mile of the sea corrode in eighteen months. Every gate we service gets stainless A2 or hot-dip galv fittings. It costs three quid more per hinge and it stops the annual call-back.

Post rot vs post lean. A leaning post is usually not rotted - it's the concrete collar that's failed on the wind-loaded side. We dig the collar out, re-plumb, and re-concrete. Full post replacement is only needed if the timber has actually gone below ground level.

Where we hand off. Full new fence line, driveway gates with automation, palisade security fencing - all specialist contractor jobs. We can recommend a fencer if you don't already have one.

Timing

A single panel or post job is a half-day. Gate re-hang with hardware swap is a half-day. Two or three fixes on one visit is a full day.

Pricing

£90 to £180 for a single panel replacement. £120 to £220 for a post reset. £75 to £150 for a gate re-hang. £180 to £280 for a full gate rebuild with new hardware.
