Ramsgate-specific notes

Winter freeze. The exposed pipe runs on West Cliff and Truro Road terraces freeze on the cold snaps - outside tap connections, unlagged loft feeds. First-response thaw and leak-check is our lane; if the freeze has burst a copper run inside a wall, that's when we call a proper plumber in.

Regency lead-to-copper joints. Some older stock still has lead supply pipe converting to copper at a wiped joint. Those fail and we won't touch them - it's a full plumber's job to replace the lead run to modern spec.

What we won't do. Boiler service, boiler fault, gas connection, unvented cylinder, full bathroom install. Every one of those needs a certified plumber or Gas Safe engineer.

Timing

Small callouts are half-day slots. Booking two or three fixes into one visit saves the second callout fee.

£70 to £120 for a single-tap or single-fixture fix. £120 to £180 for a booked half-day with a list. Parts at cost.
